We wrap up the 14th Sunday of the NFL season by looking at a handful of players who exceeded expectations and a handful who failed to deliver. Surprises Kirk Cousins, Redskins: Anything would have been a surprise from Cousins, since he's Robert Griffin III's backup. But few expected him to perform that well in crunch time in relief of the injured RG3.  David Wilson, Giants: Stepping up in place of Andre Brown and with Ahmad Bradshaw hobbled, the rookie had his first 100-yard game while scoring three total touchdowns (one on a return) in the win over New Orleans. Brandon Gibson, Rams: A career-high 100 yards on six catches for Gibson, who had zero receptions in his previous two games.  Jason Avant, Eagles: Nick Foles seems to like Avant, who shined with 133 receiving yards (the third-highest total of his career), catching seven passes in Philly's first win since September. Joe Morgan, Saints: The rookie had just five catches in his career coming into Week 14, but he had 105 yards in his first two-catch game of his career in a loss to the Giants. The guy might be a home-run hitter. Disappointments Chris Johnson, Titans: Only three teams had surrendered more yards per carry than the Colts headed into Week 14, and Johnson had been running well. But he had only 44 yards on 19 carries in a loss to Indy. C.J. Spiller/Fred Jackson, Bills: Only 51 total rushing yards on 16 carries for Buffalo's backfield duo in a home loss to a meciocre Rams team. No help for Ryan Fitzpatrick. Michael Turner, Falcons: Turner's struggles finally caught up with the Falcons' offense Sunday. He had just 14 yards on seven carries against a weak Panthers run defense. And this time, the rest of the team didn't bail him out. A.J. Green, Bengals: Only three catches and 44 yards for Green against a really banged up Cowboys defense. It was the second-worst game of his season, from a yardage standpoint. Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals: How do you not include at least one Cardinal? The offense is a complete disaster, but some might have figured Fitzgerald would bounce back with John Skelton back. Nope. Only a single two-yard catch.
