That’s right -- five Pro Bowlers! In their second year at the helm, Pete Carroll and the Schneid have brought in five guys who made the Pro Bowl this year. I hope Addicts and other Seahawk fans realize what an enormous feat that is. Of course, a deep playoff run would be even more amazing, but let’s put this achievement in perspective by comparing it to Tim Ruskell’s five years at the helm. The first of those free agents was Julian Peterson. A stud linebacker signed by Ruskell in 2006, Peterson made the Pro Bowl in ‘06, ‘07, and ‘08. Ruskell was able to leverage both the goodwill that the team had built up with Holmgren as head coach and Paul Allen’s deep ...

My Absolutely Favorite Seattle Seahawks Touchdown of 2011

Beast Mode Back Again On a Thursday night, on national tv, against an opponent that ESPN, and the NFL Network said the Seattle Seahawks shouldn’t beat, Marshawn Lynch gave a friendly reminder to America that Beast Mode was alive and well in the pacific northwest. I chose this play, instead of the 40 yarder in the same game, because it shows the determination of Lynch that...

Sidney Rice underwent surgery on both his shoulders

Sidney Rice was one of the biggest names on the free agent market last year. He was seen as a big-time risk because of injuries, but he still scored a huge deal from the Seahawks. One year later, Rice’s rep as an injury prone player has not improved. Tom Pelissero of espn1500.com reports that Rice…

USC Trojans: 2011 Exit Survey

After folding down the stretch in 2010, there were a lot of "I told you so's" going around the college football world. The idea that Lane Kiffin could simply pick up where Pete Carroll left off had gone out the window. 2011 started in a similar way as the Trojans got off to a slow start. They won their first three games but weren't particularly impressive. Game...
