Michael Vick took off running way more than the Philadelphia Eagles would like Saturday night.`
He also threw an interception while trying to get rid of the ball.
It wasn't his best performance of the preseason. But it wasn't cause for alarm, either, coach Chip Kelly said following his team's 31-24 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
''Hopefully we get that stuff out of us,'' Kelly said. ''I thought Michael did a really good job of keeping plays alive at times, but there are other times where you have to cut your losses and get us back to the line of scrimmage and get the next snap off. He did a good job of not forcing the football.''
Vick completed 15 of 23 passes for 184 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. He also ran seven times for 53 yards, most of them coming after plays broke down.
Just days after being chosen the starter, Vick showed solid command of Kelly's up-tempo offense.
