Aaron Rodgers has come out on record as blasting the NFC roster's effort in this week's 59-41 loss. He was right, of course; the game is pointless. And far be it from me to just note that there is no reason to watch or play this thing, when we can come up with a bunch of completely never gonna happen ways to make it watchable. So let's have at it!1) Crowd source the play calling. We've got the technology, and there's no more than a dozen or so plays that are going to get ran in this thing. So why not put the playcalling up on the Internet, take instant votes for the next play call, and see how much things might change over the usual "wisdom" of NFL coach work?2) Play to a point level, rather than a time.Since no one is playing defense in this game, and there's no reason for kickers, why not just make it the first to 30? That'd get us more 2-point conversions, and maybe the onside kick or two. And since the game now can actually end early, you mig...

Sorry, Aaron Rodgers: LeSean McCoy Says He Didn’t Try in the Pro Bowl

Anyone who gives it 100 percent at the Pro Bowl is treating the fans to a huge bonus.  Nobody expect the players to try.  As we said earlier, going to the Pro Bowl is more of a vacation than a football game for the NFC and AFC All-Stars.  Aaron Rodgers was upset with the lack of effort from the NFC squad last Sunday, but he is surely a member of the minority with that stance. ...

Success, humor make Rodgers marketable

GREEN BAY, Wis. It doesn't take a discount double-check to figure out that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the most marketable player in the NFL right now, but SportsBusiness Daily did the legwork anyway. The Charlotte-based publication asked 50 corporate brand managers, marketing and branding executives, sports business professors and football media to rank...

Rodgers Says NFC Lacked Pride In Pro Bowl

Everyone knows that the NFL Pro Bowl is a meaningless exhibition. The only people who watch are kids who don't know any better and gamblers. The game means nothing and the best players would rather sit out than go on a free trip to Hawaii. Even though it's the most pointless of the professional all-star games, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers still thinks players...

Rodgers unhappy with NFC Pro Bowl teammates

Show a little pride. That was the message from Aaron Rodgers to his Pro Bowl teammates, as the Packers' QB was disappointed with their lack of effort in the game.

LeSean McCoy Admits To Not Trying

In light of Aaron Rodgers putting his NFC Pro Bowl teammates on blast for putting forth a lackluster effort, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy admitted to not trying in the game Sunday. "Yeah? I'm one of those guys," McCoy said when asked about Rodgers comments. "You walk around every practice and the guys before the games on other teams are like...

Green Bay Packers QB Coach Tom Clements Promoted To Offensive Coordinator

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy promoted Tom Clements to be the new offensive coordinator. Clements has been a rock for Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn as the quarterbacks coach since 2006. The promotion comes after previous offensive coordinator Joe Philbin left to become the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Clements has an outstanding resume as he has previously been...

Poll Says Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Most Marketable Player In The NFL

Aaron Rodgers is the most marketable player in the NFL, according to a survey of top sports business executives and analysts conducted by SportsBusiness Daily. The Green Bay Packers quarterback tops a list that, not surprisingly, is quarterback heavy. He edged out New England’s Tom Brady, Indianapolis’ Peyton Manning, New Orleans’ Drew Brees and Denver newcomer Tim Tebow for the...

Rodgers, Ward, Tyree To Be On Super Bowl Pregame Show

NBC plans on adding Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Steelers receiver Hines Ward, and former Giants receiver David Tyree to their pregame coverage of the Super Bowl on Sunday. Here's the NBC Sports tweets containing the news... The pair on the pregame would apparently be an audition of sorts for the two active players according to USA Today, but I'm not sure why Rodgers...

Hannah and Cam Couple Up

She's just my type T... Hannah Storm was awarded some one on one time with our favorite NFL Stars — A “SportsCenter Special: NFL Face to Face with Hannah Storm debuted last night. The hour-long special features long-format, in-depth interviews with Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Ndamukong Suh and Colts owner Jim Irsay. Hannah is a great interviewer, but I always prefer when...

LeSean McCoy Admits He Didn't Try At The Pro Bowl

LeSean McCoy had a heck of a season in 2011, rushing for 1,309 yards and 17 touchdowns. It netted him the FedEx Ground Player of the Year on Wednesday at the Super Bowl. And it also landed him a trip to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl. While there, McCoy was on the NFC team that Aaron Rodgers believes should be "embarrassed" by a lack of effort. Actually, he was "one of those...
