Pro Sports Daily:
Raiders coach Dennis Allen made it official Wednesday: rookie Matt McGloin is now the Raiders backup quarterback and Matt Flynn is No. 3. Re Flynn: “It is what it is. It didn’t work out” Allen said.
Flynn making $6.5 million guaranteed this year was brought in by general manager Reggie McKenzie to be the starting quarterback and was beaten out by Terrelle Pryor in the preseason. He did not play well for an injured Pryor last week against the Redskins and Allen said he wants to see what McGloin can do as the backup. Allen said McGloin undrafted out of Penn State has “moxie.”
As for Pryor Allen said he is “symptom-free” from his concussion and will start for the Raiders against the Chargers Sunday night.

In the beginning of the game against the Washington Redskins, Oakland had the lead until the third quarter due to the Redskins’ disastrous offensive performance. What was the turning point in the game that caused the Redskins to overturn the Raiders? Washington’s defense picked up the slack of their offense, resulting in an ending score of Washington 24, Oakland 14.

It also looks like Raiders second string quarterback Matt Flynn lost his backup job to matt McGloin.
looks like McGloin has jumped Flynn on #raiders depth chart

Seems like Dennis Allen really wasn’t happy with the way Flynn played last week for him to lose his back up job after one game as the starter in place of Terrelle...
Today Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Oakland Raiders/San Diego Chargers game that was scheduled to play at 4:25 is now scheduled to be on at 11:35 pm eastern time due to the MLB playoffs. The Raiders and Oakland Athletics share the same stadium. The Athletics host the Detroit Tigers on Saturday […]
The Oakland Raiders (1-3) will take on the San Diego Chargers (2-2) Sunday at the O.co Coliseum. Kickoff has been moved to 8:35 PM. The game is sure to be a close one, as both teams have strong and weak components.
Oakland’s quarterback Terrelle Pryor will return for Sunday’s game, after recovering from a concussion. This will be one advantage for the Raiders, after fill-in quarterback...
Today I read a story on Ha Ha Clinton Dix, who was recently suspended from the team. Well that suspension came from something that Clinton Dix did that the NCAA considers wrong. Over the summer, Clinton Dix was robbed and he needed money. He went to his strength and conditioning coach and asked if there […]
Terrelle Pryor is symptom-free and will start Sunday night’s Week 5 game against the Chargers. I am exited for Pryor, because he has been pretty surprising this year. Pryor will lead the Raiders into their 11:35 game against the Chargers which will be aired on the NFL Network. Pryor has been putting up at least 18 […]
Quarterback Terrelle Pryor will start this week after missing last week’s game with a concussion.
Pryor is symptom free, will start for Raiders vs. Chargers. Matt McGloin is backup. Flynn dropped to No. 3 QB

This is certainly great news after last week’s loss to the Redskins. You would have to imagine that if Pryor played, the...
The Oakland Raiders have announced that Terrelle Pryor will be their starting quarterback this week, which means he has passed all his concussion tests. Pryor was originally the starter before suffering a concussion two weeks ago. Pryor gives the Raiders offense a dynamic dual threat, he can make plays with his feet and his arm and has played well so far this season with not...
The Oakland Raideres will have Terrelle Pryor under center for Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
“He is symptom-free, so he’s clear,” head coach Dennis Allen said on Wednesday.
The Raiders have also moved Matt Flynn, who started last week, to third string promoting undrafted rookie Matt McGloin to the backup role.
TIME CHANGE: Raiders and Chargers...
Raiders HC Dennis Allen announced on Wednesday that undrafted rookie free agent Matt McGloin will take over as the team’s backup quarterback behind Terrelle Pryor.
“It is what it is. It didn’t work out,” Allen said, via Vic Tafur.
As if things couldn’t possibly get worse for Matt Flynn, he’s now lost a job for the third time in less than two years.
Allen basically threw...
$6.5 million guaranteed for Matthew, so I am sure he is crying any tears.

According to Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune, Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor will draw the start Sunday against the Chargers.Fantasy Spin:He's finally symptom-free after missing last week's game with a concussion. Although he hasn't piled on a ton of yardage, Pryor's running ability makes him a low-end fantasy starter.
From Bobby Layne to Fran Tarkenton to Jim Zorn to Randall Cunningham to Michael Vick the fear for running quarterbacks was that they unnecessarily put themselves in harm’s way.
Try telling that to this new breed of zone-read-option quarterbacks such as Cam Newton Robert Griffin III Russell Wilson Colin Kaepernick and yes even Terrelle Pryor.
By the time Pryor takes the field...
Last week: 24 (+2)
The Redskins won their first game of the season in Oakland, but honestly I wasn’t that impressed with them. They should have blown out the Matt Flynn led Raiders, but they didn’t, as their offense mustered just 24 points (7 off of a return) against a replacement level Raiders defense. Fortunately for them, they have a bye week to get things sorted...
The Oakland Raiders head into preparations for Sunday's game against San Diego with uncertainty at four key offensive positions.
Quarterback Terrelle Pryor is still recovering from a concussion that kept him out of Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins.
Running back Darren McFadden, fullback Marcel Reece and center Stefen Wisniewski are also nursing injuries from the...
