One of the biggest hurdles Mark Stoops had to face with accepting the job at Kentucky was recruiting. Having to recruit against the rest of the SEC, Ohio State, the Florida schools, and etc. was going to be an exceptionally difficult task. Stoops has not been shy about sticking his nose into quite a few high school and JUCO prospects. For anyone following all the news (including me), the dictionary full of new names and faces can be quite overwhelming. Here are the guys that have received offers from Stoops and UK:  Ben Bradley – DT – Kansas – **** 5.8 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/4/2013  Asianti Woulard - QB - Florida – **** 5.9 - Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Jason Hatcher - DE - Kentucky – **** 5.8 - USC -  Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Ra’Shaad Samples – WR - Texas – **** 5.8 - Oklahoma State – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Alvonte Bell - DE - Florida – *** 5.7 - Kentucky - Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Aregeros Turner - RB - Ohio -  *** 5.7 - Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Jojo Kemp - RB - Florida – *** 5.7 -  Uncommitted - Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Janarion Grant – WR  - Florida – *** 5.7 - Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Blake McClain  - CB  -Florida *** 5.6 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Antoine Miles – DE – Ohio – *** 5.5 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Ryan Timmons – WR – Kentucky – *** 5.7 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  Javess Blue – WR – Kansas – *** 5.5 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  Stafon McCray – RB – Florida – *** 5.5 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  Marquez Valdes – WR – Florida – *** 5.5 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  Jeff Badet – WR – Florida – *** 5.5 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  Darren Dowdell – TE – Georgia – *** 5.5 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  DeAngelo Yancey – WR – Georgia – *** 5.5 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/18/2013  Nate Willis – CB – Arizona – *** 5.6 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/25/2013  Ander Bodkin – OL – Florida – *** 5.6 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/25/2013  Justin Day – OL – South Carolina – *** 5.5 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/25/2013  Ramsey Meyers – OL – Florida – *** 5.5 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/25/2013  Austin MacGinnis – K – Alabama – *** 5.5 – Kentucky – Visit Date: 1/25/2013  Mackensie Alexander – CB – Florida – **** 6.0 – Uncommitted  Rob Crayton – DT – Alabama – **** 5.8 – Uncommitted  Jaleel Hytchye – CB – Ohio – *** 5.7 – Uncommitted  Lovell Patterson – DT/OC – Ohio – *** 5.7 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  Daryl Chesnut – RB – Florida – *** 5.7 – Uncommitted  Matt Dayes – RB -Florida – *** 5.6 – Uncommitted  Kyle Meadows – OT – Ohio – *** 5.7 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013  George Williams – LB – Florida – *** 5.7 – Uncommitted  Maurice Swain – OT – Georgia – *** 5.6 – Uncommitted  Duke Riley – LB – Louisiana – *** 5.6 – Uncommitted  Sean Paul – CB – Florida – *** 5.6 – Uncommitted  Donald Gage – WR - Louisiana - *** 5.6 – Houston – 1/25/2013 First thing that you have to notice is the locations of these guys. A lot of Florida and Ohio, mixed with some Georgia and Kentucky. A lot of really rich recruiting grounds that Stoops promised he would win battles in. To win the battle, you must step into the war. Stoops must have been calling recruits right after saying yes to the Kentucky job. The shear number of prospects is impressive, and then you look at how they are ranked. A lot of stars next to those names, something that Kentucky fans do not normally see beside a recruit unless he plays basketball.   If you take a look at the dates of their visits, you may notice that the bulk of these recruits are visiting on the 11th, 18th, and 25th. Some huge recruiting weekends are coming around the corner, and one must wonder how many can Stoops grab from this impressive list? The idea of having guys of this caliber even considering Kentucky is exciting. A huge crop of guys will be coming in every weekend. Hopefully, the players that take recruiting visits together could form a bond and want to play alongside each other. The news  would get even better if those players decided to do so as Kentucky Wildcats.   Update: Ben Bradley was on campus today for an official visit. Most recent rumors have him signing with Auburn on Monday. 2013 recruit Jarran Reed, a 3-star JUCO DT, is scheduled to visit UK Jan. 18th or 25th. Currently, Reed is committed to Ole Miss. 2014 RB Mikel Horton has also picked up an offer from UK.
