One of the biggest hurdles Mark Stoops had to face with accepting the job at Kentucky was recruiting. Having to recruit against the rest of the SEC, Ohio State, the Florida schools, and etc. was going to be an exceptionally difficult task. Stoops has not been shy about sticking his nose into quite a few high school and JUCO prospects. For anyone following all the news (including me), the dictionary full of new names and faces can be quite overwhelming. Here are the guys that have received offers from Stoops and UK:
Ben Bradley – DT – Kansas – **** 5.8 – Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/4/2013
Asianti Woulard - QB - Florida – **** 5.9 - Uncommitted – Visit Date: 1/11/2013
Jason Hatcher - DE - Kentucky – **** 5.8 - USC - Visit Date: 1/11/2013
Ra’Shaad Samples – WR - Texas – **** 5.8 - Oklahoma State – Visit Date: 1/11/2013
Alvonte Bell - DE - Florida – *** 5.7 - Kentucky - Visit Date: 1/11/2013

For the last several years, Kentucky has held the No. 1 recruiting [...]

University of Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari is often viewed as a pioneer in the college basketball landscape. He was the first coach to fully embrace and utilize the concept of "one-and-done" basketball players, and despite facing plenty of criticism and skepticism from industry experts, proved that his model could work when his 2011-12 team captured...
The #1 center in the 2013 class, Dakari Johnson has recently cut his list to only three schools. Kentucky, Syracuse and Georgetown are still in the mix for his services. The bigger rumors have said that he is Kentucky bound and there is very little to sway him away from the ‘Cats. During a high school game in December, an announcer shouted to the gymnasium that Johnson had committed...
John Calipari’s 2013 recruiting class just got even bigger.
Dakari Johnson, 2013′s number 1 center and 12th best overall player, committed to the Kentucky Wildcats on ESPN Saturday night after helping lead Montverde Academy to a convincing win over Chicago Simeon.
Johnson narrowed his college choices down to Georgetown, Syracuse, and Kentucky much like this year’s current...
John Calipari revealed last night after the blowout win against Eastern Michigan, he would be telling the Big Blue Nation of a different method he is using with his ‘Cats. One of the key problems for this team has been the absence of a veteran leader. While guys like Deandre Liggins, Josh Harrellson, Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones, and Darius Miller became those type of guys for previous...
