Although Kyle Boller filled in for the injured Jason Campbell on Sunday afternoon, expect to see a new face for the Oakland Raiders early this week. The phone calls are likely going out to free agent quarterback David Garrard, who was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars this pre-season. Garrard has been spending time with his pregnant wife, working out, throwing passes to former tight end Kyle Brady, and waiting for the phone to ring. That call is about to come. Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns, Jason Campbell reached for an extra yard after scrambling up the middle. He landed awkwardly and left the game just before halftime. X-rays showed a broken collarbone, ending Campbell’s season. Oakland had made the decision to carry only two quarterbacks on the roster until the supplemental draft landed them with an inexperienced rookie in Terrelle Pryor.
