CINCINNATI - AUGUST 23: Marques Colston #12 of the New Orleans Saints catches a pass while defended by Marvin White #26 of the Cincinnati Bengals during the NFL game at Paul Brown Stadium on August 23, 2008 in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)
What did you do on Christmas Eve/early Christmas morning? Wrap presents? Sit by the fireplace looking back on past Christmas memories? Sip a bourbon and enjoy family time? Those all sound like fine holiday evenings. Then there is former Bengals safety Marvin White. He decided to party at Slim’s Y-Ki-Ki bar in Louisiana. Who knew these places were even open on Christmas Eve? According to The Advertiser (Lafayette, Louisiana): Port Barre native and former Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions football player Marvin White suffered stab wounds in a fight early Christmas Day at Slim’s Y-Ki-Ki on La. 182 just north of Opelousas. “Mr. White was totally the victim. It appears to be gang related,” said Megan Vizena with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s office. She said it appears that White and Guillory had a disagreement about a woman inside the club. When the club closed, a fight between the two broke out in the parking lot “and the whole gang got involved.” She identified the group as members of the 5150 Riders, a local trail ride club. Yeah, White was totally the victim. He never puts himself in harm on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning. Never. This is the same guy who was arrested in 2011 at his child’s daycare for simple assault and disorderly conduct. We’ll just assume White was just minding his business at Slim’s Y-Ki-Ki after a night of wrapping gifts for his child. [Former NFL player stabbed outside Opelousas nightclub] Filed under: Football
