Two former bodyguards of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen, have been sentenced to five years in prison after opening fire on two photographers in Costa Rica. The shooting took place in April 2009 as the celebrity couple celebrated their wedding at a seaside home in Costa Rica. The Global Post reports that a court in the tourist resort town of Puntarenas found Costa Rican guard Miguel Solis and Colombian Alexander Rivas guilty of attempted murder, while a third — Manuel Valverde of Costa Rica — was acquitted. The three judges ruled unanimously. The court also ordered the defendants to pay five million colones (about $10,000) in damages to each of the two photographers. The defendants refused to testify during the proceedings. Yuri Cortez, a Salvadoran who works for AFP, and Costa Rican colleague Carlos Aviles had been trying to take pictures of the wedding. The bodyguards confronted them and demanded their camera’s memory cards....

When you think of storybook weddings, “attempted murder” isn’t usually the term that comes to mind, but that’s exactly how some people will recall Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen‘s 2009 wedding in Costa Rica. Tom Brady's Reaction to Last Call is Probably Mirrored by a Lot of Patriot Fans

As we all know, Tom Brady is one of the most hyper-competitive players in the NFL, which is saying something considering that pretty much every person in an NFL locker room is hyper-competitive to begin with. So, it's not really surprising that, on a last play that ended up being pretty controversial for a whole bunch of reasons (Rob Gronkowski being boxed out of the play...

Did Tom Brady purposely avoid shaking hands with Cam Newton?

I guess I saw the end of the game a little differently last night. I thought Tom Brady did a classless thing by avoiding shaking hands with Cam Newton after the game. Brady went to argue the game’s final call with the referee rather than engage in sportsmanship. The Patriots lost to the Panthers 24-20 and the final play of the game is embroiled in controversy. It’s not mandatory...

Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Patriots Surprise Special Olympics Athletes

The Patriots took some time out of their work-weekend in order to surprise Special Olympics athletes before the team takes on the Carolina Panthers tomorrow night. The athletes are competing at Gillette Stadium, so it makes all the sense in the world that an organization as classy as the one in New England would make sure to meet and greet those competing for the Special Olympics...

Panthers beat Patriots after controversial call on final play

As the Carolina Panthers celebrated their sixth straight win, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were left wondering why a penalty that could have saved them on the final play was wiped out. The schedule makers got one right with this inter conference matchup between the New England Patriots(7-2) and Carolina Panthers(6-3) on Monday Night Football this week. New England has a two and a half game lead in the AFC East and can put a stranglehold on it with a win against the Panthers. Welker wastes no time in Denver

There are some things in life that just get better with age. Love letters. Fine wine. The rapport between a receiver and his quarterback. Yet, Wes Welker hasn't wasted any time becoming Peyton Manning's top target, just as he quickly became Tom Brady's bull's-eye in New England. Welker set a franchise record with 112 catches his first year with the Patriots in 2007...
