Former All-Pro wide receiver Marvin Harrison was always the quiet man for the Indianapolis Colts. He was always soft spoken to the media, and could always be spotted at the end of the bench sitting by himself. Yet, since his retirement his has stayed in the news for a string of shootings that took place in Philadelphia. According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Harrison was shot at by intruders this morning in northwest Philadelphia. The Daily News reported- The retired Indianapolis Colts wide receiver was steering his Ford F-350 pickup truck through Wynnefield Heights at about 3:20 a.m. when he was flagged down by a 38-year-old man who had just bolted out of an apartment on Ford Road near Monument Road, police sources told the Daily News. Harrison, nor the man who he helped out were wounded during the incident. The assailants reportedly got away in a dark colored SUV. Police say that the men are desrcibed as 5’5″ and 6’1″, and both were wearing dark clothing and masks. Harrison’s truck was struck by a stray bullet, and is turning the vehicle over to police for the investigation. Around $1,000 dollars in cash was stolen from the victims home during the robbery.
