Former Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Terrell Owens Rips Former Teammates On Social Media
SARAH PHIPPS/THE OKLAHOMAN / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Dallas Cowboys have had some big personalities in their history, especially in the wide receiver position. Terrell Owens and Dez Bryant were two of those personalities. Both players were ultra-talented but came with some baggage. On a recent podcast appearance, Bryant ripped his former teammates and coaches, and Owens took to social media to agree.

Bryant claims Tony Romo and Jason Garrett colluded to prevent him from getting the ball in a 2014 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Someone asked Owens on social media what he thought about Bryant’s comments. He agreed, saying, “Romo, Witten, and Garrett are snakes.” Those are some heavy accusations from the former receivers, but drama seems to follow these two wherever they go.

Unclear How True This Is

In the game against the Jaguars, Bryant had a team-high eight targets, 158 yards, and two touchdowns. That doesn’t sound like a stat line of someone who wasn’t getting the ball. Owens has famously feuded with many quarterbacks. His spat with Donovan McNabb is well documented, and his relationship with Tony Romo deteriorated over time. The odd thing about this story is that both players say the same thing. Anytime two people corroborate a story, it gives it a hint of legitimacy.

The Dallas Cowboys have been in the news lately, and not for great things. They head into the 2024 season with immense pressure to win.
