Former Green Bay Packers WR Takes Shot At Aaron Rodgers
Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

Throughout his incredible tenure with the Green Bay Packers, there were a few people that quarterback Aaron Rodgers rubbed the wrong way. When you are in one place for as long as he is, you aren’t going to always see eye-to-eye with everyone you come across.

Throughout his NFL career, Aaron Rodgers has garnered a reputation as not being the easiest person to work with. But, since being traded to the New York Jets, he has gone out of his way to change the perception around him.

During the 2023 offseason, he was seen working alongside his teammates intently while helping install a new offense. He took a massive pay cut to create some salary cap space for the Jets to continue upgrading the roster around him.

This offseason, he has made some headlines for how he welcomed third-round pick, wide receiver Malachi Corley. Aaron Rodgers invited Corley to stay at the guest house, which turns out to be massively different from how he welcomed at least one rookie with the Green Bay Packers.

In 2021, Green Bay used a third-round pick on Amari Rodgers out of Clemson. Rodgers was productive with the Tigers during his collegiate career and was expected to help elevate a wide receiver group behind Davante Adams.

While Corley was welcomed with open arms by Aaron Rodgers, the Clemson product didn’t receive such a warm welcome. He revealed as much in a post on X that has since been deleted where he called out his former quarterback.

Rodgers was cut in his second season with the Green Bay Packers as things didn’t pan out as well as anyone had hoped. He spent some time with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts after and is currently playing for the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL.

Could Aaron Rodgers be learning from his old ways, realizing he made a mistake with how he treated rookies in the past? The Jets certainly hope so, as Corley has a chance to become a major part of their offensive game plan, something Rodgers was never afforded the chance to do.
