Fox Sports:
Vinny Testaverde was in the trainer's room at the New York Jets' facility when the TV flashed the images of the World Trade Center on fire.
Herman Edwards was watching film in his office when he realized he didn't see any of the normal air traffic flying over the team headquarters at Hofstra University, so he hurriedly flipped on the news. It's something the former Jets coach says ''never leaves me'' even as the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks approaches.
Several of the players knew people who died that day, and they remember how football was the furthest thing from their minds then. Testaverde recalls how adamant he was that he wouldn't play that Sunday, even before the NFL suspended games, out of respect to the families affected.
