Doesn’t seem that long ago that Jevon Kearse burst on the scene while sacking every QB in sight. Then you see his career started in 1999 and you realized that was 13 years ago.
Kearse has been out of the league for three years and is facing a lot of financial troubles that a lot of ex-players do after the checks stop coming in.
Former NFL All-Pro defensive end Jevon Kearse is facing foreclosure on his Pompano Beach home.
Known as “the freak” for his amazing athletic ability while at the University of Florida, Kearse bought the 6,064-square-foot home along the ocean at 2301 Bay Drive for $6.05 million in 2004. Two years later, he signed a $5.25 million mortgage on it.
That loan is now in foreclosure after Deutsche Bank filed a lawsuit on Dec. 19. Kearse’s attorney, Marc A. Marra in Weston, couldn’t be reached for comment.
In November, the IRS filed a tax lien against Kearse for $432,015 based on his 2010 income.
