Pro Sports Daily:
Former NFL players William Joseph and Michael Bennett face prison time after separately agreeing to deals with prosecutors and admitted guilt in the same scheme. Joseph faces a minimum prison sentence of two years for pleading guilty to theft of government money and aggravated identity theft in a scheme that also involved former Patriots practice squad player Louis Gachelin. The players filed falsified tax returns in the names of other people and used those returns to steal the identity of those affected. Bennett pleaded guilty to wire fraud and could face up to 20 years in prison. Gachelin pleaded guilty in July to theft of government money and aggravated ID theft. Bennett, a first-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2001, rushed for 3,703 yards in his career. He last played with the Raiders in 2010 and also spent multiple seasons with the Chiefs, Buccaneers and Chargers. Joseph played eight seasons in the NFL and entered the league with the Giants in 2003.

The Oakland Raiders traveled to Seattle to conclude their 2012 preseason against the ‘Hawks on Thursday night. Normally, the fourth preseason game is when the starters take the least amount of playing time, as the coaching staff will try to keep them as fresh as possible heading into the regular season debut. But with the [...]
Two and a half hours after the NFL mandated deadline for teams to be at a total of 53 active players, the Oakland Raiders decided to finally let the world know how they got to that number. It wasn’t bad enough that the league decided to give teams ’til 6:00PM on a Friday night in [...]
The Oakland Raiders dropped their preseason finale to the Seattle Seahawks 21-3 Friday night. On a night where all three phases were off, the Raiders finish the preseason with a 1-3 record.
Offensively the Raiders were very conservative, not trying to show their hand with the regular season approaching. The team only ran 42 plays for an embarrassing 101 total yards. Quarterback...
As the Raiders travel to play the Seattle Seahawks Thursday night in their final preseason game, Oakland must avoid injuries and evaluate players for the final 53 man roster. With the final cuts coming Friday evening, this will be the last time the Raiders coaching staff and management will be able to see the bubble roster players. Starters are not expected to play much in this game...
The Oakland Raiders placed starting linebacker Aaron Curry on the physically unable to perform list Friday and cut returner Roscoe Parrish to get down to the 53-man roster limit.
The Raiders waived 17 other players Friday and placed tight end Tory Humphrey (hamstring), punter Marquette King (toe) and safety Brandon Underwood (hip, groin) on the reserve-injured list to cut the roster...
The Oakland Raiders recently signed Roscoe Parrish after he was released by the San Diego Chargers and Parrish was signed for one reason that many may not readily see. It’s not because the Raiders are thin at wide receiver with the injuries to Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford. It’s not because Parrish has always been [...]
With just a couple short weeks until the opening kickoff of the 2012 NFL season, it’s finally time to make my official predictions, knowing full well they will be shot to pieces faster than Carson Palmer can throw 10 INT’s. Still, gotta fill the time somehow, right?
In case you missed them, here are the divisions we’ve already previewed:

The Oakland Raiders played very well in their 31-20 win over Detroit. The offense and defense both had excellent games. I will be highlighting a few players that stuck-out during the win against Detroit. Here’s a look at the players who came-out on top, and those who who were on the bottom in my weekly [...]
SEATTLE -- The Oakland Raiders' offense was stuffed all evening in a 21-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night at CenturyLink Field. The Raiders finished the preseason 1-3, and they were nearly shut out for a second time. Oakland's only points came on an Eddy Carmona 31-yard field goal in the final minute. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor started the second half for...
The final game of the 2012 preseason is in the books for the Raiders, a sloppy, ugly loss to the Seattle Seahawks in which the Raiders gained a total of only 101 yards in the game.So what does the loss mean for the 2012 season? Fortunately, not much. This game was never about winning but about seeing who would step up and make a last push for the game. The Raiders depth was put...
The last preseason game for the Oakland Raiders was on Thursday with most of the starters resting for the season opener against the San Diego Chargers, but this game is where the backups cement themselves for the season. Top points of significance from the game Raiders are starting to cement the D in Defense. Not [...]
The Eagles released veteran cornerback Joselio Hanson on Friday
I haven’t seen many interesting players on the cut-down lists, but one name did intrigue me. The Eagles cut Joselio Hanson, an eight-year veteran who has been one of the most underrated slot corners in the NFL since 2006.
Hanson just turned 31, but he’s still very quick. I watched him live a few weeks ago and came...
