Former NFL Pro Bowl running back Lorenzo Neal was arrested July 4 on a DUI charge in California.
KFSN TV reported Tuesday night that Neal was arrested in his hometown of Fresno following a one-car accident in which there were no injuries.
Police said after Neal drove off the road and hit a pole, he was given a field sobriety test and placed under arrest. He was allowed to go home with a friend.
One of the NFL's top blocking fullbacks, Neal played from 1993-2008 with New Orleans, the New York Jets, Tampa Bay, Tennessee, Cincinnati, San Diego and Baltimore. He had 806 yards and six TDs on 227 carries and was chosen for the Pro Bowl four times.
