Former Packer Jamaal Williams adds more fuel to the 'Aaron Rodgers to the Jets' fire

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to be the talk of this offseason. Will he retire? Will he decide he wants to come back and play for his 19th NFL season? Even if he wants to come back, will the Packers decide to trade him in an effort to finally give Jordan Love a shot?

Those are the main talking points, but it seems right now that the NFL world as a whole has settled on the possibility of a trade. It makes sense, too. If Rodgers wants to keep playing but the Packers are ready to move on and collect draft assets in return for the four-time MVP, trading him away is in the best interest of both parties.

With that in mind, the New York Jets have been the hot name in trade speculation for Rodgers. First, they appear to be a four-time MVP away from being a contender in the AFC. Second, they have some intriguing picks they can send back to Green Bay, including the No. 13 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Everyone seems to be pairing Rodgers with the Jets right now, and that includes his former teammate: Jamaal Williams.

Speaking on "Good Morning Football", Williams himself speculated that Rodgers will be traded to the J-E-T-S. 

"I just feel my boy is going to go to the Jets," Williams said.

The answer was also a two-parter in his mind. He feels half the equation for Green Bay is giving Love the opportunity to take over three seasons after the Packers took him with the No. 26 pick.

"Want to see Jordan Love finally get his time to shine and show us what he's worth. Let A-rod go to the Jets and have fun and do his thing."
