Yesterday, I stopped and chatted for a while with former Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri. The Super Bowl hero is in town because, well, he lives here and plays for the Colts.
But he was also repping Under Armour’s baselayer, which keeps him cool and light (he swears). He was also talking about how during Super Bowl XLVI, @UnderArmour, will be asking trivia questions and giving their followers some cool gear. So… I had a few questions.
Like, what’s it like with his former team in town?
“Yeah, it’s a bittersweet thing,” Vinatieri told me. “Obviously, I’d rather be playing in this game in our hometown in all that stuff. But I still have a lot of friends in that organization. I wish them well. They’ve been in our locker room and on our fields all week. It’s kind of a weird thing. I think there’s a lot of Indianapolis people who know the rivalry who probably have some mixed emotions. But it’s a good experience for the city no matter who’s here. It should be a fun game.”
