Former Philadelphia Eagles RB Reno Mahe Charged With Stealing Gas

Reno Mahe, a former running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, was charged with second degree felony theft for stealing $2688.43 of gas from a construction company in Utah between 2006 and 2010, according to the Deseret News. Mahe was charged last week and was briefly in jail but is scheduled to take part in a conference on the case in early August. He was charged along with four friends. “I thought you were allowed to do it,” Mahe said. “I didn’t steal no gas. I don’t need gas.” Mahe played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2003 to 2007. He was a pretty poor running back, although he actually led the NFL in punt return average in 2005.
