According to the Baltimore Ravens website 10-year veteran and former St. Louis Rams‘ quarterback Marc Bulger has retired.  ”I am grateful to all my former team mates, coaches and my family,” Bulger told ESPN. “I have a special place in my heart for coach (former St. Louis head coach Mike) Martz for giving me an opportunity.” Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of West Virginia, was waived at the end of training camp by the Saints and than spent two week with the Atlanta Falcons‘ practice squad before signing with the Rams.  He wouldn’t see the playing field until 2002 filling in for Jamie Martin who had been filling in for the injured Kurt Warner, and finished the season with a 6-0 record in games that he both started and finished.
