Former Steeler and now Cardinals Guard Alan Faneca has decided to call it quits.  Faneca spent last season with the Cardinals and 2 seasons with the Jets.  The other 10 years of his 13 year career were spent here in Pittsburgh.  He was a dominant lineman for his entire career in Pittsburgh. Faneca was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 1998 draft.  He was taken with the 26th pick.  Faneca played his college ball at LSU.  He was a three year starter for the Tigers.  He won SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 1995. While playing in the NFL Fanceca put together a Hall of Fame Resume.  He played in 9 straight Pro Bowls from 2001-2009.  He also was named to the All Pro Team during each one of those seasons.  Faneca was also named to the All Decade Team for the 2000′s.  He was a stellar guard and no one can argue that.
