God I hate that something called Millionaire Matchmaker even exists, and some former fill-in Steelers punter was on it. Mitch Berger, who stepped into the Steelers punting duties multiple times when Dan Sepulveda couldn't, won a championship with the team against the Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. I guess that and a career that started in the mid-90s got him to millionaire status. Or at least "rich enough to appear on some harpy's lovematch reality show." Berger retired in 2009, and complained of being too much of a party boy who coldn't find a wife among the college kids at the bars. Stunning, right? So he got hooked up with some bikini model because when I think wife material, I think bikini model. And yes, I may be co-opting 15-year-old-me's brain there. It apparently worked. Berger proposed before Christmas, and the coupe is planning a July wedding. Willie Colon was just cut by the Steelers. He is asking Millionaire Matchmaker to set him...

(Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images) The Denver Broncos‘ second free agent signing of 2013 was agreeing on a new two-year deal with defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson. Dwight Freeney to Denver makes sense

Now that it looks like the Denver Broncos may end getting rid of Elvis Dumervil, the next viable option would be to bring in Dwight Freeney.  It was reported just last week that they’re expected to go after Freeney if they dump Dumervil. Even though Freeney isn’t a natural fit as a 3-4 outside linebacker, the Broncos must believe he can get the job done if they’re willing...

Welker deal might force Cruz to accept Giants tender

Victor Cruz can really do whatever the heck he wants next offseason if he chooses to accept the New York Giants first-round tender. He is guaranteed to make at least $2.879 million in 2013, but is hoping to make more via free agency. However, teams reluctant to give up a first-round pick to the Giants in exchange for a slot receiver. What is making matters worse for Cruz this offseason...

Report: Peyton Manning Pushed to Get Wes Welker, ‘Take Away Tom Brady’s Favorite Weapon’

Think Peyton Manning was excited to steal Tom Brady‘s kicker? Well, he’s pretty happy he got his slot receiver this time around, too. Manning was in the improbable role of Patriot-poacher on Wednesday when Wes Welker agreed to a two-year, $12 million deal with the Broncos that few people saw coming. While Denver was reportedly constrained in how much it could offer Welker, with...

We had him listed as the No. 20 best available player in our...
