TEAMS: Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts
Former Pittsburgh Steeler Mewelde Moore signed with the Indianapolis Colts today. The signing reunites Moore with former Steelers’ offensive coordinator Bruce Arians who now has the same position with Indy.
While never a game-changer, Moore did an excellent job in Pittsburgh in his role as a third down specialist. With Baron Batch expected back from his ACL injury and the addition of rookie Chris Rainey, Moore became expendable.
Moore was a really solid locker room guy who got along with everyone and was respected for doing his job well and always being prepared.
Personally, I think this is good pick up for the Colts. By adding Moore, they get a veteran presence who knows the Arians’ system and should be a tremendous asset for rookie QB Andrew Luck.
Moore will not be a guy who is sorely missed by fans in the Steel City but he deserves our gratitude for his hard work and simply knowing his role and doing it well.

Mike Wallace Tweets That He Will Be With Steeler Nation In 2012
On Monday, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace accidentally retweeted a tweet on Twitter from a troller stating that he would not be with the Steelers this season. His mistake must have prompted a pretty good response on the social media platform as he has since deleted the retweet and posted a response stating: "Didn't mean to retweet that I will be with #steelernation...
Is Today The Last Birthday That Rashard Mendenhall Will Celebrate As A Steeler?
Today Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall celebrates his 25th birthday and you have to wonder if it is the last one that he will have as a member of the black and gold.
Mendenhall, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract, more than likely will start the 2012 season on the PUP list as he continues to rehab the torn ACL he suffered in the regular season...
Fans May Miss Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back Rashard Mendenhall More than They Think
When the season opens in 2012, there is a great possibility that two starters from the 2011 campaign will be on the PUP list for the Steelers, running back Rashard Mendenhall and nose tackle Casey Hampton. Ironically, this was to be (and is) a huge season for both players as the Steelers weigh their contract options moving into 2013.This is especially true for Mendenhall, who in...

Pittsburgh Steelers: Isaac Redman Will Carry Offense Early On
Steelers starting running back Rashard Mendenhall suffered a torn ACL in week 17 of last season. The injury hurt the back’s chances at his third consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season. Mendenhall finished with 928 yards in 2011.
His chances of returning to 1,000 rushing yards this season are also dwindling as Pittsburgh’s GM Kevin Colbert guesses Mendenhall will start the...
Rashard Mendenhall will likely miss the first six weeks of the season

Peter King of SI.com believes that Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall should miss at least the first six games of the season as he continues to recover from ACL surgery.
Since Mendenhall tore his ACL at the end of the 2011 regular season, Id be really surprised if he has any type of impact for the Steelers this coming season. Ligament tears typically...

The Colts signed veteran RB Mewelde Moore on Tuesday and released QB David Legree, owner Jim Irsay announced. Moore spent the last four seasons with the Steelers. Steelers offense: Early struggles or early success?
What is the actual expectation of Haley and the offense? What if the Steelers lose the first few games? What if the losses are high scoring games in the 30′s, but the defense gives it away? What happens if they get blown out early as contrasted by low scoring games? The new offense may have a ton of potential but there is also going to be growing pains, to think that there won’t...

It’s looking more and more like Rashard Mendenhall will begin the year on the PUP list and that doesn’t mean he’s getting put in an animal...

Dan Rooney Still Hopeful NFL Game Takes Place In Ireland In The Future
The talk about an NFL game taking place in Ireland has really died down over the last few months. It was reported back in December of last year that the NFL sent a delegation to inspect Croke Park in Ireland as a possible place to play a game.
US Ambassador to Ireland and Pittsburgh Steelers president Dan Rooney is of course a prime player in this game taking place in Ireland...
