Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports Thursday via Twitter that Indianapolis Colts tight end Weslye Saunders has been suspended for the first eight games of the 2013 season for violating policy on performance-enhancing substances.Indianapolis' Weslye Saunders has been suspended the first eight games this year for violating policy on performance enhancing substances.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 18, 2013Sanders, who was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2011 out of South Carolina, was suspended last year for four games for violating the same policy. Saunders admitted prior to the 2012 season that he took the drug Adderall that belonged to his younger brother because he suffered from ADHD.Following his four-game suspension the Steelers released Saunders instead of placing him back on the 53 man roster, and he was signed by the Colts a short time thereafter. In 11 games with the Colts, Saunders caught only two passes for 15 yards as he was the third tight end on the roster. As you can clearly see, the Steelers made the right decision in releasing Saunders, whose NFL career is now pretty much over. The tight end had a few character red flags associated with him coming out of college, and it appears as if he can't fully understand what he is and isn't allowed to put in his body.Former Steelers TE Weslye Saunders Suspended For 8 More Games is a post from: Steelers Depot
