Former Texans TE Antony Auclair retires from NFL
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans have a brotherhood within the alumni, so when someone who played the Texans retires, it's going to be known. Recently, one of their former players retired at the age of 30.

Antony Auclair, a former Texans tight end, retired recently via Instagram. Auclair last played in 2021 for the Texans and played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers four years before that.

His message on IG explains his decision to retire.

After a year away from the game, filled with introspection, inner searching, and meaningful moments, I made a decision that marks the end of an era for me," Auclair wrote on Instagram. "I have decided to retire from professional football.

Auclair finished his career with 15 catches for 131 yards and one touchdown, which came with the Texans. He didn't play much, but he was a guy who played hard and was a great run blocker in the tight-end position.
