The Vikings had Chicago running back Kahlil Bell on their team in the offseason and during training camp. But he didn't have much chance to show what he could do in training camp because of a high ankle sprain, and he didn't make the 53-man roster or the practice squad. "It's the old, you can't make the club in the tub, out of sight out of mind," coach Brad Childress said. "We had to keep moving. You would love to hold onto guys and evaluate them later. I can't say anything poorly about him. He did a good job while he was here." The Bears signed Bell to their practice squad, where he spent the first nine games this season before his breakout performance against Philadelphia on Sunday.
