The Steelers’ offensive line got some great news this morning when Ramon Foster decided to sign his restricted free-agent tender. He’ll make $1.26 mil this season and become an unrestricted free agent next offseason, but we’re hoping the Steelers can keep him in the Burgh for a while.
This was huge news because Foster is the first tenderized RFA to sign this offseason, and if he had gone somewhere else, the Steelers would have gotten absolutely nothing in return since Foster was undrafted and the Steelers slapped him with a low tender. Apparently some other teams had some interest but no offers came in so Foster decided to stay put.
After the year he had last year, there’s no reason to think that Foster won’t be the starting right guard this season – he definitely earned that spot last year while his linemates were falling around him. With Foster locked up, the offensive line should feature Marcus Gilbert and Willie Colon at tackle, Maurkice Pouncey at center, Foster at right guard...

Report: Ramon Foster signs RFA Tender
A report from Howard Balzer of ESPN Radio is that Ramon Foster has signed his RFA Tender. Foster was signed as a restricted free agent and was given the one year $1.26 million offer. That is the lowest offer and if Foster were to sign elsewhere the Steelers would have received nothing in return since he was an undrafted free agent.
Foster is still likely to start at guard for...
Why Has Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace Received No Offers?
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace is a restricted free agent who comes with a first round tender attached to any team who presents him with an offer. While that means that a team would have to first come up with a price acceptable to Wallace as well as surrendering their first round pick, it still remains somewhat surprising that no team has made a play...
Steelers part ways with Sepulveda…and my heart
I think we all knew it was coming, but we didn’t want to believe it. Unfortunately, nothing gold can stay…
The news came in a tweet from Pittsburgh’s own Ed Bouchette:
P Daniel Sepulveda says #steelers won’t bring him back.
My first reaction...
I must admit: this is no surprise. Dan has a storied history of bad luck that began in college. He originally walked onto...
Where Is The Current Draft Stock Of Alabama NT Josh Chapman?
It is no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers will likely select a young nose tackle to groom in the draft later on this month and one player that could certainly fit the bill is Alabama nose tackle Josh Chapman. Chapman is still currently rehabbing after having surgery in mid January on his left knee to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament that he suffered in a game against the...
Steelers OG Ramon Foster Signs His One-Year Tender Offer
The Steelers signed their first free agent of the season, one of their own -- starting guard Ramon Foster according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Although Foster, as a restricted free agent, could have entertained other offers until April 20, he signed his one-year tender from the Steelers worth $1,260,000 that binds him to the team. Foster, who signed with the...
Ben Roethlisberger to Do Some Hardcore Golfing to Prepare for the Upcoming NFL Season
Golf is a great sport.
You just gotta love it.
Ben Roethlisberger surely does and he is going to use it to help him for the upcoming NFL season. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback will reportedly be doing some “hardcore” golfing and will be heading off to Scotland and Ireland.
“It is going to be pretty hardcore,” Roethlisberger said. “I will be playing something like...
Steelers’ #24 Pick a Great Unknown
It is not uncommon for the Steelers’ first round draft pick to be a big question mark. Over the past 12 years there have only been a handful of guaranteed first round picks for the Steelers; given everything else worked out correctly of course. Even Ben Roethlisberger was not a guarantee f Continue
Safety Hazard For The Steelers?
By Jeremy Hritz
All things come to pass, good and bad. The deplorable quarterback play of the Pittsburgh Steelers of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s stung but did not stick. The grit, production, and smiles of Hines Ward helped to capture two Super Bowl victories, yet his time with the team reached its end just this past season. The ebb and flow of players in the NFL is unavoidable...

Addressing The Coby Fleener Induced Mass Hysteria
By Christopher DiMarino
There has been a lot of back and forth debate about Coby Fleener. There are people who agree that he could go in the first round. Some are skeptical that the Pittsburgh Steelers would draft a position of lesser need. Finally, there are those who don’t think he’s a possibility going at 24, because he’s a second round talent. I want to quickly address...
New uniforms? So what? There will always be debate.
Now that Nike has unveiled the newest in National Football League attire for all 32 teams, the debates are now well underway as to just whose uniforms are indeed the best. Let me end the bickering once and for all because we all know the Pittsburgh Steelers have the best uniforms far and away so you may now return to your regularly scheduled program.
What? That’s not quite true...
New offense means patience is required.
The word ‘patience’ is one that I really struggle to get along with whether it’s with my job or my kids or my ability to hit the golf ball straight. I have been telling myself throughout the 2012 NFL off-season that patience will be required and not just by me but of anyone who considers themselves a member of Steelers’ Nation.

Stephen Hill: How Big A Need Is Wide Receiver For The Steelers?
By Cian Fahey
With the news that Jerricho Cotchery is in St Louis visiting the Rams, Mike Tomlin's noteworthy comment on Emmanuel Sanders' health and Mike Wallace's continued lack of a long-term contract, the Pittsburgh Steelers could value the wide receiver position in this draft more than many anticipate.
The most likely receiver to be available for the Steelers...
