Found February 08, 2012 on Down and Distance:
After awhile of awaiting to hear who our new WR coach would be, after we heard that John Mcnulty would be coaching QB’s, we now know who. Frank Reich, the former NFL QB and Offensive Assistant for the Colts who was fired last month during the Colts overhaul of Front Office and Coaching personnel will now be coaching our WR position. Who is Frank Reich you may ask? Frank Reich played QB from 1985-1998, mainly in the reserve QB role. His biggest achievement in the NFL was orchestrating the Bills playoff comeback against the Houston Oilers in 1993, when they were down 35-6 and came back to win 42-38.   Reich began his coaching career back in 2008, when he was hired as the Offensive Assistant for the Colts. The following season he was promoted to QB Coach, where coached it till 2010. The 2011 season had him coaching WR.   It is my belief that this is step one of luring Peyton Manning in. By bringing in people he is familiar with he will be more tempted to come to the Desert. With Reggie Wayne being a possible FA target for the Cardinals, the Cardinals could be a hot landing spot for Manning.

Yahoo Sports: Manning should retire

Les Carptenter of Yahoo! Sports thinks Manning should take his health, his legacy and his lasting impression on the city and retire no matter how hard it may be: Maybe the competitive side of Manning refuses to let him leave the game behind. Players, no matter how beaten or bandaged, always believe they have something to offer simply because of their presence. The Redskins and...

Seattle media makes their case for Peyton Manning

Seattle hasn’t been mentioned a lot as a possible landing spot for Peyton Manning, but it probably should be. They have a quality defense, salary cap room, a first class facility, and an owner that isn’t afraid to spend. (Or stay out of the way.) They have a quarterback need, but they are flexible enough…

For Peyton Manning, celebration now, meeting later

Manning Watch 2012: Are the Tides Turning?

The moves made by Jim Irsay thus far this offseason point toward the Colts rebuilding after one of its worst seasons in recent memory.  Irsay fired the GM and much of the coaching staff, hired a defensive-minded coach, and has repeatedly beaten the "new era" mantra into our heads through press conferences.  He's talked about how similar this situation is to 1998,...

Joe Gibbs on Peyton Manning and the Redskins

Since I’m quoting everyone else on Peyton Manning and the Redskins, might as well quote Joe Gibbs on Peyton Manning and the Redskins. Much of these comments — which came last week on Mike Wise’s radio show — already appeared in The Post via a Mike Wise column. Read full article >>
