Fred Taylor returned to practice for the Patriots today and he spoke to the media about his injuries. Taylor has turf toe on both of his feet. He injured the left foot in the home opener against Cincinnati and the right foot was injured in the game against Buffalo. His left foot injury almost required surgery, which would have placed him on season ending injured reserve. Taylor was happy to be back and practicing with his teammates today. There is still no word on whether or not he will play on Sunday night against the Steelers. He did caution that he was taking things slowly and continuing to receive treatment for the injuries. It looks like Taylor will be a game time decision, at best, heading into the Sunday match-up of AFC powers.
Tom Brady also did not practice with the team today. He was listed as having a foot injury, along with the normal right shoulder. The severity of the injury is unknown but certainly worth noting since he was absent for the first day of practice after the Patriots were demolished by the Cleveland Browns.
