Free agent guard Leonard Davis visited the Detroit Lions on Tuesday and will again with them Wednesday, NBCSports.com reported.
Davis, 32, started every game over the last four seasons for the Dallas Cowboys but was released earlier this summer in a salary cap move.
The 355-pound Davis made the Pro Bowl after the 2007, 2008 and 2009 seasons. He has missed just five games in his 10-year career and also can play tackle, although he has not done so since 2006.
The Lions have injury issues at guard, with Jeff Backus (pectoral muscle) and Gosder Cherilus (knee) nursing ailments. They have had trouble protecting quarterback Matthew Stafford over the last two seasons.
