The Patriots continue to weed through tight ends, and thus the upcoming visit of Kellen Winslow isn’t surprising. Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, and Visanthe Shiancoe are currently gainfully employed as the Patriots tight ends, however, we all know Shiancoe could be gone in a heartbeat. Winslow, released last week by the Seattle Seahawks will be passing through Gillette, but it’s unlikely the Patriots would sign him, most like they are gathering information for their taxi squad. Another reason for not signing Winslow is contracts are guaranteed if a free agent is signed before the first game of the season.
Winslow was waived by the Seahawks on September 1st, 2012. He declined to reduce his salary so the Seahawks released him

It's my rankings and I'll be a homer if I want to. State of the Position: Cornerbacks
If there’s one position on defense with the most volatility it’s by far the cornerbacks.
Based on talent, the group should be much improved.
But in the NFL, talent doesn’t always win on Sundays.
