According to a report from TMZ, NFL linebacker Thomas Howard, who was cut by the Atlanta Falcons last week, killed himself and another person this morning when he slammed into a truck at more than 100MPH.
Howard, a second round pick in 2006 NFL Draft, lost control of his BMW 750Li and smashed into a black semi, according to witnesses.
The collision was apparently pretty bad as both Howard and a 55-year old driver of a Honda CR-V died at the scene.
Howard, 30, was drafted by the Oakland Raiders and also played for the Bengals as well as the Falcons. He was cut by Atlanta on November 12.
