According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Packers will host free-agent quarterback Vince Young on Monday.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Young hasn’t played in the NFL since his release from Buffalo last August.
It could be an indication the team isn’t happy with their backup situation and the Young workout is more of an indictment on reserve quarterbacks B.J. Coleman and Graham Harrell, who have been competing to be Aaron Rodgers‘ backup.
Young (6’5, 232) has completed 755-of-1,304 passes for 8,964 yards with 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions in his NFL career. He’s also rushed for 1,459 yards and 12 touchdowns on 282 carries.
