Washington Redskins could be off-season champs for the right reasons this year?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers shelled out $56 million for a 5 year contract with $26 million of it is guaranteed for wide-receiver Vincent Jackson. HUGE payday for the 29 year old wideout and thankfully for Washington Redskins fans, it was not their favorite team that shelled out that kind of money to just one player.
Most people thought it was surprising that the Washington Redskins...
Dan Snyder Ain’t Care
The Washington Redskins were 5-11 last year. This comes as no surprise, because, give or take a field goal or two, the Redskins are always 5-11. In an attempt to turn things around, last week the team packaged a total of three first-round picks (and one second-rounder) to go after Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III with the second overall pick in the draft. After trading away...
RG3 should scramble away from DC
The Washington Redskins have moved heaven and draft picks to position themselves to land Robert Griffin III, the quarterback we here in Texas affectionately like to call Superman.
Nor did we cape him lightly.
He earned that moniker by winning at a Baylor program many felt beyond help. The thing about the cape, or even just the socks with the cape on them, is you think you are invincible...
Accused killer of Taylor fires lawyer
The man accused of fatally shooting Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor during a 2007 burglary has fired his lawyer one month before his murder trial.
Eric Rivera Jr. gave the Miami-Dade County, Fla., judge a letter Friday explaining his reasons for firing Quinton Pitts, an experienced defense lawyer. The judge ordered the letter sealed and said a new lawyer would be appointed...
Tom Brady Groups Up
These are my west coast teammates T..
Tom Brady loves the West Coast. The New England Patriots QB has a permanent residence in California, and during the off-season spends a majority of his time here. Here’s Tommy Terrific at a Charity Event at Katsuya in downtown L.A. — It’s great to see Tom having a good time without his old ball and chain Gisele. -TO

Patriots Re-Sign OG/C Dan Connolly
Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe reports the Patriots have re-signed center/guard Dan Connolly, according to a league source. It's not immediately known whether or not this signals the end of Dan Koppen's nine-year run with the Patriots, but Connolly was looking for starting money after playing well in 13 games (11 starts) last season after Koppen went on injured reserve....
Browns' fans feel a draft, and shiver
If there's one thing Browns' fans have learned during this free agency period, it's that you can't call GM Tom Heckert a liar. Heckert said last week that the franchise would not make a big splash in the market. The NFL's high-priced free agent bazaar opened on Tuesday at 4 p.m., and true to their word, the Browns weren't waiting to rush inside with checkbook...
Watch SOJA Recruit Vincent Jackson For The Redskins (VIDEO)
This ship sailed with Tampa Bay signing Vincent Jackson and the Redskins signing Pierre Garcon, obviously, but here’s video from Sunday of SOJA (Soldiers of Jah Army, bumbaclot) taking time out from their San Diego show to try and persuade V-Jax to come play for their hometown Redskins. RG3 references abound, as do some pretty amazing dreadlocks.
Programming Note: I’m saying...
Patriots Re-Sign Connolly
Late Thursday afternoon it was learned that the New England Patriots have re-signed C/G/KR Dan Connolly.
Connolly filled in admirably at center for 13 games (11 starts) this season when C Dan Koppen was placed on the injured reserved. Connolly also has the longest kick off return in NFL history by an offensive lineman when he returned a kick off 71-yards against Green Bay on...
Reports: LaRon Landry Shows Up on Patriots' Radar
The Patriots might be ready to beef up their defensive backfield. New England has shown interest in safety LaRon Landry, according to Yahoo! Sports, and the 27-year-old might visit New England soon, according to the Boston Herald. Landry, the sixth overall pick in the 2007 draft, has been one of the league's best safeties when healthy. However, his last two seasons ended with...

Reports indicating that the Pats have expressed interest in Safety Laron Landry. Landry’s had injury issues recently which should help keep his price tag down. But when healthy he’s surely a player that could help New England, plus he played for Nick Saban at LSU, always a positive sign.
Seems clear the Pats are keeping a close eye on the free agent safeties, and given the safety...
AFC East Draft Profile: New England Patriots
(Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images)The AFC champion New England Patriots were just minutes away from winning their fourth Super Bowl with Tom Brady under center, but a few unlucky breaks were what separated them from the Giants. Many fans believed the Patriots were the most talented team in the league last year, and expect them to upgrade at certain positions rather than...
