JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert practiced in full for the third consecutive day Friday and will start at Indianapolis.
Cornerback Derek Cox (hamstring) also is expected to start after missing the first two games. Both are listed as probable.
Gabbert injured his buttocks in last week's loss against Houston. Coach Mike Mularkey says...
After a brutal stretch of injuries, Blaine Gabbert, Maurice Jones-Drew and the Jacksonville Jaguars are at 0-2 and facing a tough road ahead to recover from. Luckily this week, they get a team in the Indianapolis Colts, that are coming together and trying to gel and learn the right way to do things. The Jaguars are in the same situation. With a second year QB that still struggles...
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis ColtsJacksonville Jaguars: Well that didn’t take long. After Blaine Gabbert looked like a fairly competent QB against the Minnesota Vikings in week 1, he reverted to the putrid play from 2011, throwing for an ugly 53 yards against a stout Texans defense in Week 2. Against a decent defense, Gabbert will likely have days like he did against...
INDIANAPOLIS -- Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert had less than a minute and 80 yards to go for the win. He didn't need near that much time. Gabbert hit wide receiver Cecil Shorts III over the middle of the Indianapolis Colts' defense and Shorts took it all the way for a touchdown to give the Jaguars a 22-17 win on Sunday in Lucas Oil Stadium. "We checked...
The Indianapolis Colts and their fans were ready to celebrate Sunday. Blaine Gabbert ruined those plans with one long play.
Just moments after the Colts had taken a late lead on an Adam Vinatieri field goal, the Jacksonville quarterback hooked up with Cecil Shorts III on an 80-yard TD pass to beat the Colts 22-17 - the first fourth-quarter comeback of Gabbert's NFL career and...
Austin Collie suffered a concussion this preseason, his 4th in the last 21 months, but it was a minor one and it looked like he would be back for week 1. He practiced before week 1, but was not cleared and the same thing happened week 2. It’s very likely he just did not get clearance from a doctor. This week, he went through the same routine at the beginning of the week, but it...
Unless the hat you’re wearing has a horseshoe on it, or your favorite colors are teal and black, I can count only two other reasons you might tune in to the Colts and Jaguars game Sunday afternoon. One: to find out if Andrew Luck is really that good. Two: to find out if Jacksonville is really that bad.Spoiler alert: the answers are “Yes” and “Yes”.Did I ruin it for you...
The Indianapolis Colts lost Sunday to the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 22-17 stunner after Jags QB Blaine Gabbert hit WR Cecil Shorts III for an 80 yard go-ahead touchdown with 45 seconds to go. The Colts had just driven down the field, allowing K Adam Vinatieri to boot a 37 yard field goal to take a 17-16 lead. Vinatieri missed an earlier field goal from 36 yards out. On the very...

Irony is part of the NFL. The Jaguars struggled through much of the Jack Del Rio era chasing the Colts. Now that Peyton Manning is gone, the Jaguars have yet to lose to the Colts under Blaine Gabbert. Oh the irony. Here's 5 quick things that the Jaguars can do to keep the streak going.
1) Defense (again)Once again, it's all about the defense. Hopefully they decide to show...
Week three match-up gave us a much maligned second year quarterback versus the anointed one. Two franchises' who are looking to turn their fortunes around. And veteran players who are the anchor for their teams. And this was all in one game. Jacksonville Jaguars versus Indianapolis Colts taught we there are still lessons to be learned. Here are five.1. Nothing is predictable...
