According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSPorts.com, if safety Tyvon Branch and the Raiders are able to agree on a new contract soon, it would help the 49ers and Dashon Goldson get something worked out before Monday’s deadline, since they’d then have a nice template to go by.
Goldson had a break out year in 2011 and will have to prove this season that it wasn’t a fluke.
