Found January 20, 2014 on cover32 - Seahawks:
Offense, Special Teams: Doug Baldwin This was maybe the easiest call of the season. The Seahawks were having a lot of trouble on offense in the first half. That started to change when Russell Wilson slipped out of the 49ers pass rush noose and found Doug Baldwin for a 51 yard completion that set up a Seattle field goal to finally get them on the score board. Baldwin finished the evening with six catches for 106 total receiving yards. On top of that he was a monster in the return game. His three returns tallied up 109 yards and were instrumental in setting up the Seahawks field position during their comeback run. Baldwin’s contract is up at the end of the year and he made quite the case for a big raise last night. Show him the money. Defense: Bobby Wagner Kam Chancellor will likely get the headlines for his big hit on Vernon Davis and his interception of Colin Kaepernick’s awful pass in the fourth quarter. Bobby Wagner’s probably ok with that. He’s not going to get interceptions, he...

Macklemore Parties In Seahawks Locker Room, Takes Selfie With Russell Wilson (Photos)

Anyone who has listened to Macklemore’s music knows of the deep pride he has for his hometown of Seattle. The rapper, who has previously raised the Seahawks’ 12th Man flag at CenturyLink Field, performed at halftime of the team’s 23-17, conference-clinching win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Slights become motivation for Seattle's receivers

(Eds: Adds details, quotes. Should stand. With AP Photos.) By TIM BOOTH AP Sports Writer Somewhere along the way, ''pedestrian'' became a favored word for the Seattle Seahawks' receivers. Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Golden Tate each used the word in some fashion after the Seahawks beat San Francisco to win the NFC championship Sunday. It was their way of...

Ryan Tannehill needs something to lean on in 2014

While watching the two championship games this weekend, I was able to figure out what separates Ryan Tannehill from QBs like Russell Wilson.   Russell Wilson started the NFC Championship by fumbling the ball on the first play of the game. Seattle’s defense was able to hold the 49’ers to a field goal.   Wilson also had a hard time moving the offense as they only scored 3 points...

Wilson Will Attempt To Accomplish What Only Brady And Roethlisberger Have Done

Now that Seattle Seahawks are going to Super Bowl XLVIII, quarterback Russell Wilson will attempt to become just the third quarterback to win a Lombardi Trophy in just his second season in the league. So far, only Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger have been able to accomplish that feat. In 2001, Brady led the New England Patriots to their first ever Super Bowl championship when they...

Seahawks beat 49ers, advance to Super Bowl

The Seattle Seahawks are headed to the Super Bowl following a 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. “This is really special,” said coach Pete Carroll. “It would really be a mistake to not remember the connection and the relationship between this football team and the 12th Man and these fans. It’s unbelievable.” Seattle’s defense forced three...

Richard Sherman explains postgame interview: ‘I’m not a villainous person’

Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman explained his post game rant toward 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree in a piece he wrote for TheMMQB.com on Monday. I ran over to Crabtree to shake his hand but he ignored me. I patted him, stuck out my hand and said, “Good game, good game.” That’s when he shoved my face, and that’s when I went off. Erin Andrews interviewed...

Pete Carroll: Percy Harvin ‘should be fine’ for Super Bowl

The Seattle Seahawks will likely have an offensive weapon in the Super Bowl that hasn’t had much of a chance to play this season. Wide receiver Percy Harvin, who suffered a concussion in the divisional round against the New Orleans Saints, should be able to play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Harvin ”should be fine” Monday on 710 ESPN Seattle...

Seahawks vs. Niners: This is it

Always leave your audience wanting more. Blimey, the NFL has failed miserably on that score this weekend. What have they done? I’ve never known the respective title games to be so anticipated, to be so...so...y’know, in an ‘is-it-only-Wednesday-is-it-really-only-Thursday’ sense. There’s very little to look forward to after this. Ever, it seems.Even from this side of the...

Taiwanese animation takes on the NFC Championship game

You know that Sunday's NFC Championship game between the Seahawks and 49ers is a big deal - because it's getting the Taiwanese animation treatment. Personally, I think this may be the best video that Tomo News has ever done. This one minute, 19 second video features Bane, a giant, man-eating shark, Krazy Glue on a toilet seat, a Sindel Mortal Kombat fatality, the A-Team...
