Found December 05, 2011 on Carolina Huddle:
The Carolina Panthers put on the best show in the past two seasons, Merry Christmas. On with the grades… Offense: The Carolina Panthers offense showed what might be the most balanced attack we have seen with Cam Newton under center. It seems the quickest cure for an ailing team id to face an opponent in god awful orange uniforms. Overall, Offensive Coordinator Chudzinski showed the most imagination and consistency we have seen all season. Cam breaking the QB rushing touchdown record was the icing on the sweet sweet cake of victory. Offensive Grade: A Defense: The run defense was the major concern coming into the game, but they performed admirably. This has many fans wondering if Fua, who hurt himself during warmups, may have been the weak link. Or possibly the Panthers had the luxury of facing an opponent without a starting NFL caliber QB and were able to focus mainly on run stopping. I am betting on explanation number 2. Defensive Grade: B Special Teams: Am I the only one tha...

Halftime blog: Panthers 24, Bucs 12

TAMPA Cam Newton did a nice job executing the two-minute offense at the end of the first half Sunday, getting the Panthers in position for Olindo Mare's 43-yard field goal that put Carolina up 24-12 on Tampa Bay as the half ended. With 13 seconds left, Newton scrambled to his left and hit Brandon LaFell, who got out of bounds with three seconds left at the end of the 31-yard...

The Saints stay alive for the #2 seed in the NFC.

Falcons squander another chance to take control

After squandering another chance to take control of their playoff fate, the Atlanta Falcons are beginning to realize this is the way it's going to be. In all likelihood, the postseason race will come down to the final week. The Falcons (7-5) are right in the thick of the wild-card race, tied with Detroit and Chicago, but their hopes of repeating as NFC South champions are beginning...

Overall I’m not having great...

4 Downs for Week 13

1st Down – Cam is for Real A year ago at this time, Cam Newton was at Auburn getting ready to play for a National Title against the Oregon Ducks.  The consensus number one overall pick at the time was Stanford’s Andrew Luck.  Everyone that knew anything about football just knew the Carolina Panthers would select Luck with the first pick. Enter January 2011 and Luck decided...

Are the Panthers primed for a big finish?

There was a school of thought during the preseason that the Panthers, given their youth and new identity with Ron Rivera and his staff, might start slowly and get better as the season wore on.    That appears to be the way it's playing out.    The Panthers' 38-19 victory over Tampa Bay Sunday was their most complete performance of the...
