Game Grades: Panthers at Cardinals

In one losing effort the Carolina Panthers provided more entertainment than the entire 2010 season. On with the grades… Offense: Cam Newton now holds the league record for passing yards in a rookie debut game. If someone would have predicted that at any point before Sunday, they would have been mocked. The national media has given Newton zero chance and have been slamming him for weeks. So much for the “so called” experts. Even the harshest critic must admit Cam looks like a franchise QB in this league, and arguably was the best player on the field Sunday. Well done Cam, you have brought excitement back to the Carolinas. The news is not all good however. The Carolina run game continues to struggle. Most of the blame can be placed on the offensive line. There is no push at the line of scrimmage, no holes for Deangelo Williams or Jonathan Stewart to take advantage of.
