For three quarters the Baltimore Ravens dominated the New York Jets and then were forced into a game saving interception by Ray Lewis in the end zone, escaping with a 20-13 victory.
Kyle Boller took the helm for Baltimore, subbing for an injured Steve McNair and managed the game well. With mostly short passes, Boller directed the offense on four scoring drives and completed 23 of 35 passes (65 percent) for 185 yards and two touchdowns.
He connected with Willis McGahee on short swing pass for the game's first score, then found Todd Heap (7-76 yards) in the corner of the end zone to end the first half and give Baltimore a 17-3 lead. Matt Stover converted on two of three field goals, while McGahee rushed for 97 yards on 26 carries as Baltimore handed the Jets their second loss of the season.
