Even though another blown fourth quarter lead was fresh on Jason Garrett's mind Sunday night, the Cowboys head coach spent a few more minutes talking about a situation that occurred in a game the previous weekend. Prior to the start of the Cowboys' Week 14 game against the New York Giants, NBC aired an interview with Dallas outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware. In that sit down question and answer session, Ware revealed that Garrett apologized to the team for calling a timeout in the final seconds of a loss to the Cardinals. "He came to us in a meeting and said, 'I made a mistake on this play,'" Ware recalled. The timeout iced Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey who missed the game-winning try from 49 yards out. The Cowboys went on to lose 19-13 in overtime. "I think when we talked about that as a team what we try to do with our team is we try to process what happened in the previous game," Garrett said. "We as coaches stand up and say, 'Player, we should have done this. Player, we should have done that. This was good. This wasn't good. This is how we've got to get better.' Something we try to do as coaches is say, 'Hey, we're a part of this, we make decisions, we put game plans together, we call plays, we handle situations and we're accountable to that, as well.' "That's always been a point of emphasis for us. On Mondays every week we put things up there that talk about things we did well and things we did poorly in each area of our football team and we share that with our players, we include ourselves as coaches. That's something we've always done because we feel it's an important part of the process in evaluating games."
