Fox Sports Southwest:
Jason Garrett was interested in becoming the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens in 2008. He interviewed for the job and was Baltimore's top choice. But Garrett said Wednesday that he and his wife decided that Dallas was the right place for them and they have no regrets.
"We certainly have no regrets, and I'm sure the Ravens don't have any regrets either," Garrett said during a conference call with Baltimore media members. "They've done a great job. Since that time, John Harbaugh has done a fantastic job with that team. They are one of the elite franchises in the league."
Tony Romo didn't give much insight when asked to think back to 2008 to remember if he thought the Cowboys would lose Garrett to the Ravens. Simply put, Romo said, "I was glad to see that he came back to us."
Since 2008, the Ravens are 48-21 and have appeared in nine playoff games, including two conference championship games. Since 2008, the Cowboys are 36-32 and have appeared in two playoff games.
Garrett isn't the type to focus on the past, so it's no surprise that he said he doesn't think about what might have been. Garrett said his approach is to make a decision and move forward.
"We love it here in Dallas," Garrett said. "We are trying to build a championship-type team here. We're fortunate to be in the situation that we're in and excited about what we can do as a football team. It will be a great challenge for our team this week going up to Baltimore playing the Ravens."

The unit that ran for 143 yards in a season-opening victory is now 29th in the NFL, averaging just 68 yards per game. And the only reason the Cowboys (2-2) are even that high is because of what they did against the New York Giants in that first game...
