The Bengals locker room does not open until 1 p.m. but Texans head coach Gary Kubiak did do his teleconference this morning with the Cincinnati media. Among the highlights — T.J. Yates is expected to start at quarterback and WR Andre Johnson, who missed the first game due to a hamstring injury, could see 45-50 plays. General thoughts going into the week: “It’s exciting to get up and go to work today and have an opportunity like 12 other football teams. We’re just trying to get focused and make sure we stay to our routine. It’s a quick turnaround for both of us. We’re trying to get them all back fresh and mentally ready to go.” On T.J. Yates and if he’ll play after suffering an injury to his non-throwing shoulder: “My expectation is for him to be ready to go. They told me he could have gone back in the game the other day and that didn’t make a lot of sense with where we’ve been physically as a team plus Jake (Delhomme) needed some work.
