West Virginia QB Geno Smith has widely been considered the best quarterback in this year’s draft class for months now, but there seems to be a growing sense that he’ll end up being selected in the top-ten this April. ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned while appearing on Tuesday’s NFL Live that Smith will be a top-ten selection. “It looks more and more like he’s going to go in the top 10,” Schefter said. “… It’s difficult to say (exactly where he’ll go), but it’s not difficult to discern that Geno Smith is looking more and more like a top-ten pick.” Schefter specifically mentioned the Raiders, Browns, Cardinals and Bills as potential options. Chris Mortensen previously reported that the Raiders were considering Smith at No. 3 overall and it’s easy to make the case for the Cardinals and Bills given their current options at quarterback. Don Banks of SI.com spoke with new Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley who mentioned that they came away really impressed with Smith. “I sat down one on one with him and I just wanted to see how he would be once he entered our building, our stadium,” Bradley explained to Banks. “Are people going to gravitate towards him? Is he going to be a leader? Is he a guy that everybody will back and will he allow that to happen? I wanted to see how competitive is he going to be. Is he going to step into the building and it’s like his team and somebody has to take it away from him? Really it was just to get a better feel for his mindset, and we had a great talk. I was very impressed with him at the meeting. I had high expectations, but I think he exceeded them. I came out of it feeling even better.” It’s hard to say how much stock you can put into reports regarding interest in a prospect at this point in the offseason. Teams like Jacksonville and Oakland could be working to drum up interest in Smith to facilitate a trade out of their first-round draft slots, but then again, they could have genuine interest.     The post Geno Smith Now A Top 10 Pick? appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
