After not being selected until the 2nd round, and firing his previous agents, Smith’s image and reputation have taken a serious hit as of late. Smith though refuses to allow his critics to get him down, and during a recent interview with Thacover2, address concerns and rumors about his attitude and whether or not he’s a diva. “I don’t worry about what people say — my skin is pretty thick,” Smith told USA TODAY Sports. “I’ve never been in trouble.” Smith denied a Yahoo Sports report that suggested he spent time in meetings with NFL coaches and exec Tweeting on his phone, and being disengaged from the whole pre-draft process. “That’s not true,” said Smith flatly. “I got strong remarks from all the teams I visited with. … I couldn’t care less what’s coming out in the media because I know what’s true.” Smith did admit
