Gerald McCoy took to the podium today for the first time this offseason at One Buc Place. He also was not surprised when the first question he faced was about Darrelle Revis. “You would ask me that,” McCoy responded. But when it seemed as if he was going to avoid the question, he gave us his thoughts when asked if he was following the trade rumors. I’m not following it. I’m just worried about who we’ve got. We have a lot of great players here already. That’s what I’m focusing on. I trust the guys upstairs and whatever decisions they make, they make. I’m focusing on whoever is here and the brotherhood we have to build. If they bring some more people in then they do. The draft is coming up and they are going to bring some people in. Bring them right in and keep them rolling. Although spoken like a true professional, there is no doubt that McCoy and other Buccaneers players have put any thought into the “what ifs’ of having Darrelle Revis in pewter and red. The latest on Revis was that he was cleared to resume running without restrictions. His MRI proved that he was ahead of schedule but it has not sped up the trade talks — or so it seems. However, if talks progress and a deal is struck, no one in the Bucs locker room can downplay the acquisition. Not even “Geraldini.” The post Gerald McCoy not following the Revis trade talks appeared first on The Bay Cave.
