The Jets conducted their third post-bye practice today -- the first open to the media -- and guess who wasn't practicing? OLB Vernon Gholston was out for an undisclosed reason, presumably an injury. During the 40-minute window open to the media, Gholston spent his time on the stationary bike. Interesting timing. The Jets are going to be facing some tough roster decisions this week, figuring out which players to dress. Considering the special-teams debacle against the Dolphins, a game in which they deactivated top special teamers Ahmad Carroll and Marrques Murrell, the Jets figure to place added emphasis on the kicking game for Sunday against the Jaguars. Gholston isn't one of their top special teamers. That, coupled with his small role on defense, makes him a "bubble" guy. But now that he's injured ...
