Giants add a new mentor for rookie WR Malik Nabers

The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft was exciting for the New York Giants. They added a top-flight WR talent in Malik Nabers. He will slot in as a key option in their offense immediately.

Now, they are addressing depth at the position with a veteran.

The Giants are reportedly signing veteran WR Allen Robinson.

The move makes a ton of sense. As of now, their WR room is quite young. The group is headlined by Malik Nabers and Jalin Hyatt. Darius Slayton and Isaiah Hodgins are by no means old guys at the position, either.

Not to mention, Robinson has always been highly respected around the league. He can be a leader in the locker room for an offense that lacks experience. Last year, New York had no wideout record more than 770 receiving yards or four touchdowns.

Plus, Malik Nabers is the prized rookie wideout for the Giants. Robinson can help to mentor the young, exciting receiver over the course of his first year.

Robinson is 30 years old. He totaled just 280 yards on 34 catches in 2024 for a measly Pittsburgh Steelers passing offense. Robinson was with the Los Angeles Rams prior to that stint with Pitt.

During his best days with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Robinson was one of the best big-body wide receivers in the entire NFL. He produced consistently.

Now, the vet will look to be part of a bounce-back campaign for Daniel Jones and the Giants.
