Found August 22, 2011 on Giants Gab:

This will be the 2nd preseason game, a Monday nighter (Which is why T and M will be pushed back to Tuesday) against Da Bears. Starters should play a bit longer.

INJURIES:

(These guys sat out practice Saturday).

DE Osi Umenyiora (knee), CB Prince Amukamara, OL Adam Koets(knee/PUP), LB Clint Stintim (knee), S Brian Jackson (back) and WRs Domenik Hixon (knee),Darius Reynaud (hamstring) and Ramses Barden (ankle/PUP).

Sage Rosenfles (strep throat) is out and will give way to David Carr.

OFFENSE:

This being the preseason, I just want to see some crispness. A nice long drive. Solid decision making. Nothing fancy. I’m not interested in stats. I’m not interested in touchdowns or big plays. I’m interested in the offense getting to work, moving the ball down the field. The offense last week did not look crisp. Preseason is all about improving, and that’s what I want to see.

DEFENSE:

Will someone make a damn tackle? I think that should be the focus for this game. Wrap up the ball carrier, use solid fundamentals. No arm tackles. The amount of missed tackles in the Carolina game was just mind boggling. In a regular season game, that just isn’t going to cut it. I want to see if JPP can continue his stellar performance. He’s going to be the guy, at least until Osi comes back. Can Aaron Ross look like a NFL corner? Can Boley continue his strong play? There are still plenty of questions for this defense to answer.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

The epic battle between Matt Dodge and Steve Weatherford continues. No one separated themselves last week. We’ll see if they do this week. I want to see better returns and, of course, better coverage.

THE BEARS:

The Bears might be the Cowboys of the North, with Roy Williams and Marion Barber III joining. Will they have an impact? Something to watch out. Want to see how Will Beatty handles Julius Peppers. Pretty good test, if you ask me.

PREDICTION:

I love making predictions during the regular season. In preseason, it’s just torture. But what the heck. FINAL SCORE:  Giants 24, Bears 13
