Unbelievable!  That's the best word to describe last night's game between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys, as the Giants beat the Cowboys 37-34 to share the lead atop the NFC East. This game had everything to offer the avid football fan:  nine lead changes, lots of scoring, and dramatic plays on offense and defense. The Giants drew first blood as Jason Pierre-Paul sacked Tony Romo to give the Giants a 2-0 lead. The Giants added a FG to increase their lead to 5-0 when the Cowboys finally got on the scoreboard with a Romo to Phillips 12 yard TD pass for a 7-5 lead to end the 1st quarter. The Giants responded with 10 play 80 yard drive that concluded with a 1 yard run by Brandon Jacobs to give the Giants a 12-7 lead. Romo (21/31 321 yards 4 TD) would not back down as he led the Cowboys on 11 play/80 yard scoring drive with a 9 yard TD pass to Robinson for a 14-12 lead. The Giants again responded as Jason Pierre-Paul forced  fumble on Felix Jones gave the Giants th...

The Fifth Down: The Power and Grace of Jason Pierre-Paul

There isn't a more destructive defensive end in football right now than the Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul.

NFL Fans Take Note: JPP Has Arrived

There’s only two things that’s going to keep Jason Pierre-Paul out of next month’s Pro Bowl: the Giants making it to the Super Bowl or him missing his flight to Hawaii. The kid who played about 15 minutes of football before he got to TIMEX has come a long way. The Giants chose the raw 6’5″, 278-lb wunderkind out of South Florida with the 15th overall selection in the 2010...

Giants Sunday Morning Bathroom Reader

Here are some choice cuts from around the net this morning to whet your whistle for tonight’s big game in Big D…. Jeff Roberts of The Record  features Giants’ DE Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP)… Pierre-Paul has overcome a lot, including the questions early in his 2010 rookie season asking if the defensive end just might be a bust. “They thought I was a bust last year. But I knew...

JPP named NFC Defensive Player of the Week

If you witnessed the one-man wrecking crew that was Jason Pierre-Paul on Sunday night (Or was it LT?), then this will come as no surprise: The second-year sensation was named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week.   Pierre-Paul led the Giants with eight tackles, including two sacks of Cowboys ...

Cowboys Can't Corral Giants at Home

The Cowboys couldn't handle the Giants at home, as they lost 37-34 in prime time on Sunday Night Football. Fantasy Spin: Quarterback Tony Romo did his job though - for Dallas and fantasy owners - as he completed 21 of 31 passes for 321 yards, with four touchdowns and no interceptions. He fired two or more scoring strikes for the ninth time this season, and also collected his...

Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) Blocks Dan Bailey Field Goal Attempt

Video: New York Giants Jason Pierre-Paul A.K.A. JPP blocks Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey's game tying field goal attempt week 14 to preserve the win for Big Blue. It must have been a Deja Vu moment for the Dallas kicker and coach finding themselves once again in a field goal attempt situation late in a game to decide the outcome. Last week against the Arizona Cardinals Jason Garrett...

Dallas Cowboys Take Giant Step Backward in Loss to New York on SNF: Time to Point Fingers

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. And I am still having a hard time believing what happened in this tale of two cities, two teams, and two football fates. With a 12-point lead and just over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Dallas Cowboys managed to squander what would have been a formidable division lead and lose a gut-wrenching, heart...

Giants rising star: Jason Pierre-Paul

PFT Live – Segment 2: Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul talks about Week 14′s win over the Cowboys, his overall performance as well as his mindset.

Tuesday Notes: JPP Gets POTW Nod; Eli Hits Milestones and “Rantrel” Rolle Strikes Again

Lets begin with the positive, shall we? Giants’ DE Jason Pierre-Paul has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 14. JPP had two sacks, a forced fumble and a safety in Sunday night’s nationally-televised game vs Dallas. He topped off the dominant performance by blocking the potential game-tying field goal with one-second remaining, sealing a 37-34 victory which put...

Icing the kicker may not hurt the kicker, but it can help the defense

There’s a belief, supposedly supported by statistics, that calling a time out to ice the kicker doesn’t really hurt the kicker, and thus doesn’t help the effort. But it can nevertheless have a very specific benefit to the defense. Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul explained during Monday’s PFT Live that the meaningless kick coming after…
